Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to post pictures of my latest completed work. It is a portrait bust of the "Philosopher" sculpted in Castilene and depicted in a classical style. He is 1/4 scale and stands at 9" tall with the base. I plan on releasing this as a fine art piece both in statuary stone and bronze. Currently he is in the molding stage: I hope you like him as I've always wanted to do a an older character for fun. I like all the facial lines etc that you can put into a piece like this. Special Thanks to Sym7 for fixing the original pictures I took! Daily DeviationGiven 2008-12-20The details in The "Philosopher" Bust by ~Hellspawn77 are exceptionally intricate with a great amount of care and attention in the accuracy of the facial muscles and the lines and wrinkles in the skin. Good use of an eggcup too!
I'm glad you like him as this type of character is really not my usual thing since it is a study for a commission piece. I prefer other types of genres, like fantasy and Military, but I think he came out OK in the end...
